Advanced-Shooting
To nely adjust the white balance
If you set other than [AWB], you can
nely adjust the white balance while the
recording screen is displayed.
The white balance can be adjusted
for each setting independently and is
memorized even if the camera is turned
off.
1 Press e several times until [WB
ADJUST.] is displayed.
MENU
ADJUST.
EXIT
WB ADJUST.
RED BLUE
2 Adjust with w/q.
w: red (blue, bluish)
q: blue (magenta, reddish)
(no adjustment: 0)
3 Press [MENU/SET] to nish.
When you nely adjust the white
balance, the white balance icon changes
to red or blue.
White balance ne adjustment is effective
when using ash.
The white balance ne adjustment level
in [
{
] returns to [0] when you reset
[
|
] (white set).
You cannot use white balance ne
adjustment when [COLOR EFFECT]
is set to [W/B], [SEPIA], [COOL] or
[WARM].

[METERING MODE]
Setting the method to measure
brightness
You can switch to the following metering
modes.
R
Multiple
This is the method in which the
camera measures the most
suitable exposure by judging
the allocation of brightness on
the whole screen automatically.
(Usually, we recommend using
this method.)
S
Centre weighted
This is the method used to focus
on the subject on the centre of the
screen and measure the whole
screen evenly.
U
Spot
This is the method to measure
the subject in the spot metering
target A.
A
Metering mode is xed to multiple [R]
in intelligent auto mode [ ].
When multiple [R] is selected and the
AF mode is set to face detection [ ],
the camera will adjust the exposure to
suit the person’s face.
Press [ ] to display the [REC] mode menu and select the item to set. (P19)
