7 Diagnosing problems with the optical pick-up and repair
procedure
As a new feature, this unit has an “optical pick-up problem diagnosis function” and “a tilt adjustment confirmation function” built in.
Use the following procedure to efficiently determine the problem and adjust tilt.If "NO DISC" is displayed, before exchanging the
optical pick-up, carry out problem diagnosis first. If the present laser driving current is over 55, the optical pick-up may need to be
exchanged.
Note:
Carry out diagnosis within 3 minutes of turning the unit on. (The player’s current can increase as it warms up, so turn the unit
off and allow it to cool down before diagnosis.)
