Troubleshooting guide
The LCD is dark. Adjust the brightness. (11)
Picture distorted. Some disruption is normal during SEARCH.
Menu not displayed
correctly.
Restore the zoom ratio to

on the television (or

Check connections. (22)
Check that the television is on.
Check that the input mode on the television is correct.
Check the settings in “Video—TV Aspect”. (19)
Turn off the zooming feature on your television if you are using Zoom.

Ensure that the unit is connected directly to the television, and is not
connected through a video cassette recorder. (22)
The unit and television are using different video systems.
Use a multi-system or PAL television.
The system used on the disc doesn’t match your television.
–PAL discs cannot be correctly viewed on an NTSC television.
–This unit can convert NTSC signals to PAL 60 for viewing on a PAL
television (“NTSC Disc Output” in “Video” tab). (19)
LCD pixels turn black
or radiate different
colors.
The LCD is constructed with precision technology so 99.99 % of the pixels
are active, but of the remaining of 0.01 %, there are pixels that may be
black or emit light constantly. This phenomenon is not a malfunction.

GUI screens are cut off. Adjust the position. (15)
No On-Screen display. Select “On” for “On-Screen Messages” in Display menu. (20)

You inserted a DVD-R that has not been finalized.

A problem has occurred with the battery pack. Consult your dealer.
ERROR 02”
The battery pack has been recharging for 12 hours but has failed to
recharge for some reason. Recharge again.
ERROR 03”
You are recharging in a location that is too hot or too cold. Recharge at
normal temperature (
i5 to i35 oC).

∑∑ stands for a
number.
Trouble has occurred. The number appearing after “H” depends on the
problem. Turn the unit off and on again. Alternatively, turn the unit off,
disconnect the power source (AC or battery pack) reconnect the power
and turn the unit on again.
If the service numbers fail to clear, note the service number and
consult your dealer.
