While the arrow points to “Save
directory”, press EDIT (' ► ').
•The display shows the number of stored items
in the directory.
Enter a name, up to 15 characters, with the
dialing buttons, CH [ ◄ ] or EDIT j V) .
•See the steps for entering names and symbols
<p. 50).
• If a name is not required, press ( ▼ ) (Next
key) and go to step 5.
Press ® (Next key).
Enter a phone number, up to 22 digits.
• Each time you press
(HOLD/INTERCOM/CLEAR] , a character is
erased from the right. To erase all of the digits,
press and hold ( H OLP/INTERCOM/CLEA~R) .
Press Q (Next key).
Press EDIT ( ► ] (save key).
•A beep sounds.
•To continue storing other items, repea t from step 2.
•To return to the standby mode, press (OFF) .
• If a pause is required for dialing, ( R E D I AL/PAUSE/FUNCTION ) can be stored in
a phone number counting as one digit (p. 59) in step 5.
•You can exit the programming mode any time by pressing (OFF) .
• If the display shows “Directory full” in step 2, the display will return to
step 1. Press (OFF] to exit the list. To erase other stored items from the
directory, see page 55.
• If the display shows “Save error” in step 7, the item cannot be stored in the
directory. Try again from step t.
