  If you cannot connect a cellular phone to the base unit, confirm that your cellular phone is turned on and within base unit range. Ensure your cellular phone’s Bluetooth feature is turned on. Pair the cellular phone to the base unit. If your cellular phone is already connected to another Bluetooth device, disconnect the device, then perform the connecting procedure to the base unit. If your cellular phone is already registered on another Panasonic DECT phone, remove the registration of this phone on both your cellular phone and on the other Panasonic DECT phone.

  If the unit isn't recording new messages, ensure the answering system is turned on. Note that the answering system does not answer or record calls from cellular lines. Check if the message memory is full and erase unnecessary messages if needed. Also, verify the recording time is not set to “Greeting only”. Your phone service provider’s voicemail service may be answering your calls before the unit’s answering system can answer your calls.

  To display caller information, you must subscribe to Caller ID service. If you are already subscribed, plug the unit directly into the wall jack, and if you use a DSL/ADSL service, connect a DSL/ADSL filter between the base unit and the telephone line jack. Other telephone equipment may be interfering with this unit, try disconnecting the other equipment.

Confirm that your cellular phone supports the hands-free profile (HFP) specification and that the Bluetooth feature is turned on. Turn off and on your cellular phone. If your cellular phone is already connected to another Bluetooth device, turn it off or disconnect it from your cellular phone. Some cellular phones may require you to enter the Bluetooth PIN to pairing, confirm that you entered the correct PIN.
