Applicable modes:
From the Recording screen > [ ] > [Rec] > [Metering Mode].
Achieving focus quickly using Auto Focus
Tap [ ] in the MF adjustment screen to activate the Auto Focus.
≥ Enabling Auto Focus in the MF adjustment screen adjusts the
focus to the centre of the enlarged screen.
≥ [MF] is not available in the following cases.
– [Miniature Effect] (Creative Control Mode)
– When recording motion pictures
Selecting the Method for Measuring Brightness ([Metering Mode])
Type of optical measurement to measure brightness can be changed.
[] ([Multi Metering])
This is the method in which the unit measures the most suitable
exposure by judging the allocation of brightness on the whole
screen automatically.
Usually, we recommend using this method.
[] ([Center Weighted])
This is the method used to focus on the subject on the centre of the
screen and measure the whole screen evenly.
[] ([Spot])
This is the method to measure the subject in
the spot metering target A.
≥ Those menu items are shared by the [Rec] menu and the [Motion Picture] menu. When the setting for either of
the two is changed, the setting for the other is also changed.
