Saving the Power Consumption
(Economy mode)
If the camera is not operated for about 15
seconds, the LCD monitor display turns off
and power consumption is saved.
• When setting [ECONOMY] to [ON], the LCD
monitor display is turned off while charging
the flash.
• When setting [ECONOMY] to [ON], power
save setting time is fixed to [2 MIN.].
[Preparation]
• Set the mode dial except for [ ]/[ ].

1 Press the [MENU] button.
2 Press 1 to open the setup menu .
3 Press 3/4 to select [ECONOMY] .
4 Press 1 to select [ON].
5 Press the [MENU] button.
• The menu will disappear.
• The message [MONITOR OFF] flashes for a
few seconds before LCD monitor display is
turned off.
• The LCD monitor turns on when pressing
any button.
• When using AC adaptor (optional, DMW-AC1)/recording the motion image, the
economy mode is not available.
• The economy mode does not work when the menu screen is displayed or the
self-timer is set.
