Overview

This document provides operating and installation instructions for Panasonic Fully Automatic Washing Machines, models NA-F65G7, NA-F70H7, NA-F62G7, NA-F65H7, and NA-F62H7, designed for domestic use. It covers safety precautions, part names, operation panel details, various programs, detergent usage, washing options, convenient functions, maintenance, installation, error display, and troubleshooting.

Function Description

The Panasonic Fully Automatic Washing Machine is designed to efficiently clean various types of laundry. It offers a range of programs tailored for different fabrics and soil levels, including Normal, Favorite, Quick, Jeans, Soak, Gentle Hand Wash, Delicate, Daily Sari, Bed Sheets, Air Dry, Tub Hygiene, and specialized Stain Master programs (Sweat, Sauces, Collar/Cuff, Oil, Curry). The machine can mix cold and hot water for washing, with temperature settings for Hot (approx. 40 °C) and Warm (approx. 30 °C). It features an ECONAVI function (available on NA-F65G7/NA-F62G7 models in Normal program) that automatically adjusts operation time and water level based on detected laundry amount and water temperature, optimizing efficiency. The machine also includes an Air Dry function to remove water from clothes using air blown from the tub rotation, suitable for synthetic fiber clothes up to 2 kg.

Usage Features

The operation panel provides intuitive control over the washing process. Users can select programs, set the water level, and view the remaining time. The "Temp Setting" button allows selection of Hot or Warm water, with corresponding lamp indications. A "Reserve" function enables users to set a delayed finish time for washing, ranging from 2 to 24 hours later. Process settings for Wash, Rinse, and Spin can be customized, and the water level can be adjusted during the wash process. The "Favorite" program allows users to save and recall their preferred settings for convenience.

For detergent, liquid detergent/bleach is poured into a dedicated inlet, while powder detergent/bleach goes into another inlet, which should be securely closed. Softener is added to its own inlet and is automatically released during the final rinse. Users are cautioned not to put detergent directly into the tub to prevent undissolved residue. Bleach should not be used for colored clothes or for Gentle Hand Wash and Delicate programs.

Pre-laundry checks are crucial for optimal performance and to prevent damage. Users should remove coins, pins, and other small objects, fasten buttons and zippers, and avoid washing non-laundry items like paper diapers. Clothes with surfaces prone to flaking should be reversed, and pet hair or sand should be brushed off. Delicate underwear, such as underwire brassieres and lacy items, should be washed in laundry nets, ensuring not to overpack them and with the zipper slider covered. For heavily stained clothes, pretreatments like hand washing, applying stain remover, or using hot water are recommended.

Specific programs have unique usage considerations:

  • Gentle Hand Wash (NA-F65G7/NA-F62G7): Requires attaching a washing board inside the tub for gentle washing of delicate clothes and stylish garments. Load lighter items first and press them down. Laundry nets are recommended.
  • Delicate (NA-F70H7/NA-F65H7/NA-F62H7): For delicate clothes and stylish garments. Load laundry evenly, using nets for delicate underwear.
  • Bed Sheets: For washable bed sheets (100% synthetic fiber or 100% cotton, up to 4.2 kg). Roll the bed sheet and place it in a net before loading, with the zipper facing up to prevent damage.
  • Stain Master Programs: Designed for specific stains. For Collar/Cuff, Oil, and Curry programs, both hot and cold water faucets must be on. Certain items like colored clothes, shirts with stiff fabric, rubber material clothes, and graphic shirts should not be washed in these programs due to the use of hot water.

Convenient functions include:

  • Cancelling end buzzer: The end-of-operation buzzer can be turned off by pressing and holding the "Start/Pause" button for 3 seconds.
  • Child Lock: To prevent children from falling into the tub, this function sounds a buzzer if the lid is opened during operation. If the lid is not closed within 10 seconds, water is flushed out. This function does not lock the lid or buttons.
  • Turning the tub by hand: Useful if it's difficult to reach the detergent or lint filter. The tub can be turned manually within 20 seconds after a clicking sound is heard, provided there is no water in the tub.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of the washing machine.

  • Lint filter: Should be cleaned after each operation. Remove the filter, open it, remove lint, and then reattach it in its original position. If lint is stubborn, soak and wash the filter in water. The machine should not be operated without the lint filter.
  • Main unit and lid: If stained with detergent or softener, wipe with a soft cloth. For heavy soil, a neutral kitchen detergent can be used. Avoid splashing water.
  • Water supply filter: If water does not flow smoothly, the water supply filter needs cleaning. Turn off both hot and cold water faucets, turn on the power, select Hot or Warm, start the machine, then turn off the power after about 40 seconds. Loosen the nut, remove the hose, take out the filter, clean dirt from it, and then reattach it.
  • Tub: For general cleaning, run the "Air Dry" program once a week without laundry. For thorough cleaning, use the "Tub Hygiene" program once a month. Turn on the water faucet, select "Tub Hygiene" without laundry, start the program, and once the tub is filled with water, pause the operation and add approximately 200 ml of whiten bleach (chlorine bleach). After closing the lid, restart the program. The tub cleaning process will end after approximately 2.5 hours.
