When recording of the first disc has finished, the tracks of another
disc can be recorded.
(After recording of the first disc has finished)
1 Press the disc tray open/close button to open
the disc holder and then replace the disc.
To close the tray, press this button again.
2 Press the compact disc edit mode select
button.

3 Turn the jog dial to select the desired editing
mode.

PROGRAM: As desired tracks and sequence

it is not possible to select the editing mode except “ALBUM”
and “PROGRAM”.
4 Press the setting button.
When album edit recording is performed:
The unit will specify the tracks and display the result. (See
page 34.) j
When program edit recording is performed:
Specify the track and sequence using the jog dial and setting
button. (See page 38.)
5 Press the play button in the compact disc
section.
The ATLS function (See page 40) will operate to adjust the
recording level, and then recording will start.
When edit-recording has finished, the cassette deck automat-
ically creates a non-recorded passage of about four seconds
in length, and then enters the recording standby mode.
@When you need to record a third disc or more, follow the
steps above.
@ To cancel the link edit-recording
This function is also available from the remote control. Follow the
procedure described below.
(In the recording standby mode)
Press the stop button in the deck section.
Notes:
When stopped the compact disc play during link edit recording, the
editing mode will be cancelled.
Never release the recording standby condition of the deck section
by pressing stop button.
(The editing mode will be cancelled.)
About ATLS
(Automatic Tape Level Setting)
_ The unit automatically scans for the peak (highest) level of the
entire disc.
When the peak level is found, the peak signal will be automatically
sent to the tape deck for about six seconds and the tape deck will
automatically set the recording level. During this period the peak
level will not be output.
