1 Press the sleep timer button.
Within 5 seconds, follow the next operation. If not, the display
will return to what was previously indicated.
2 Turn the jog dial to set the desired time .
@ To cancel the sleep timer mode
Press the power switch to standby mode or press
the sleep timer button twice.
@ To use the sleep timer in conjunction with the
timer play or timer recording operation
For example, to go to sleep listening to the radio broadcasts,
and wake up the next morning listening to compact disc.
1) Set the ON time and OFF time for the timer play.
(See page 42.)
2) Prepare for the play of a compact disc, and set the volume level
for the timer play.
3) Press the play timer button.
The unit will be switched to the standby mode.
4) Press the sleep timer button and set the desired time for the
sleep timer.
The power will be switched on, and the sleep timer indicator will
illuminate.
5) Tune to your desired band and adjust the volume level.
For example, to go to sleep listening to compact disc, and then
to make a timer recording from the radio broadcasts
1) Set the ON time and OFF time for the timer recording.
(See page 42.)
2) Select the desired band.
3) Load a tape for recording in deck 2.
4) Press the timer recording button.
5) Press the sleep timer button, and set the time for the sleep
, timer.
(Be sure to set the sleep time to be off before the timer recording
starts.)
6) Play the compact disc and adjust the volume level.
When the timer play or the timer recording setting overlaps with the
sleep timer setting, the sleep timer setting has priority.
