These are examples of connection. You can connect
other recording equipment instead of a cassette deck.
A record player, laser disc player, etc. can be
connected to the AUX terminals.
To connect a record player
Connect the record player to a phono equalizer to
amplify the signal, then connect the phono equalizer to
the AUX terminals.

Audio output through LINE OUT is only from sources
played in this unit (radio and discs), not from other
sources connected to TV AUDIO IN, VCR AUDIO IN,
and AUX.
Outdoor antenna connections
Use outdoor antennas if radio reception is poor.
FM outdoor antenna (Using a television antenna)
AM outdoor antenna (Using a vinyl wire)

Disconnect the FM indoor antenna.
An outdoor antenna should be installed by a qualified technician
only.

Run a piece of vinyl wire horizontally across a window or other
convenient location.
Leave the loop antenna connected.
When the unit is not in use, disconnect the outdoor antenna to
prevent possible damage that may be caused by lightning. Never
use an outdoor antenna during an electrical storm.
