1 P r ess [SELECTOR] to select “FM” or
“AM”.
Each time the button is pressed,
DVD/CD^ FM — AM —* TV —‘ VCR — AUX
2 Press [TUNE MODE] to select
“MANUAL”.
Each time the button is pressed; “MANUAL" -— ► “PRESET”.
3 Press [TUNING (v or ^)] to select
the frequency of the required station.
‘TUNED" is displayed when a radio station is tuned.
“STEREO" is displayed when a stereo FM broadcast is being
received.
4 Adjust the voiume.
Auto tuning
Press and hold [TUNING (\/or/\)] for a moment until the
frequency starts changing rapidly. The unit begins auto tuning,
stopping when it finds a station.
Tuning may stop before a station is found if interference is
encountered.
If noise is excessive in FM
I Press [FM MODE) to display “MONO".
1 • This mode improves sound quality if reception is weak for some
j reason, but broadcasts are heard in monaural.
! • Turn “MONO" off for normal listening.

FM frequency step
The step is set to 0.2 MHz at the factory. It can be changed to
enable the tuner to receive stations broadcast in 0.1 MHz steps.
Any FM frequencies that have been preset will be changed by this
procedure. Be sure to carry out presetting again. •
1 Press [SELECTOR] to select “FM”. Now press and hold
[SELECTOR]. After 5 seconds the display changes to show the
I current lowest FM frequency. Continue to hold down the button.
After about ten seconds, the minimum frequency changes and the
step is changed at the same time.
I Repeat this procedure to change the step back.
AM reception is monaural.
