Setting Flash
Confirm that the lens is facing the front. Otherwise, the flash does not fire.

Access the menu in the recording
mode

Select the desired item from Flash.
• Select the item from the table on the
right.
Item Details of Setting
Auto [ ]
The flash fires
automatically according
to the lighting
conditions.
Reduced red
eye [ ]
The flash fires
automatically according
to the recording
situation.
It reduces the red eye
phenomenon (When a
subject’s eyes appear
red in flash light).
Use it when you take
pictures of people or
animals in low lighting
conditions.
Flash off
[]
Even in dark places, the
flash does not fire.
Use it w
hen you take
pictures in places where
using flash is not
allowed.
Flash on
[]
The flash fires every
time a picture is
captured.
Use it when
your subject
is back-lit or under
fluorescent light.
