SAFETY REQUIREMENTS I USING THE MACHINE
- mount Iha bar cover;
- only hold the machine using the handgrlps and
position the
bar
in the opposite direction
to
that
used during operation.
2) When using a vehicle
to
transport Iha machine,
poalllon It so that It can cause
no
danger to parsons
and fasten
it
firmly in place
to
avoid
it
from tipping
over, which may
cause
damage
or
fuel spillage.
F) CAUSES AND OPERATOR PREVENTION
OF
KICKBACK:
Kickback
may occur
when
the nose
or
tip
of
the
guide bar touches
an object,
or
when Iha wood
cloaas In
and
pinches the saw chain
In
Iha cut.
Tip
contact

soma cases may cause a sudden
re-
verse
reaction, kicking the guide bar up and
back
towards the operator.
Pinching
Iha saw chain along Iha top
of
the guide
bar may

Iha guide bar rapidly back
towards
the operator.
Either of these reactions may cause you
to
loose
control
of
the saw which could resun In serious
personal Injury. Do
not
rely axcluslvely upon the
sllfety devices buitt into your saw.
As
a chain
saw
user,
you should
take
several
steps
to
keep your cutting
Jobs
fnle from accident
or
In-
jury.

rod
(1) In Iha sleeve (2) so that Iha hole
(3) coincides with Iha screw (4).
- Tighten the
two
screws (4) and (5) completely.
The head
of
the screw (4) must not stick
out
when tightened.
