OPERATION AND USE
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE ENGINE
• Before operating the engine, be sure to read all instructions
carefully as injury or permanent damage to equipment may
occur.
• Run the engine in a well ventilated area.
• Ensure the appliance is at least one metre away from
building walls or other equipment.
• Keeptheapplianceawayfromammableliquidssuchas
petrol.
• Refuel in a well ventilated area with the engine switched off
andavoidsparksornakedames.
• Whenrefuellingensurethatyoudonotoverllthefueltank.
• If any fuel is spilled ensure it is deaned up thoroughly
before restarting.
• Ensure the fuel cap Is located securely.
• Theexhaustmufersgetveryhotandwillremainhotfor
sometime after the engine is switched off.
• Ensure the appliance is cooled before transporting or
storing.
PRE-OPERATION INSPECTION
CAUTION:
Engine oil is a key factor in deciding the engine’s performance. Do not
use engine oil with additives or 2-stroke gasoline engine oil, as they do
not have enough lubricating properties, which may shorten the engine’s
service life.
• Check the engine is on level ground.
• SAE30isrecommendedforgeneralalltemperatureuse.
• Remove the dipstick and clean it.
• Reinsertthedipstickintotheoilllerwithoutscrewingitinand
check the oil level.
• If the oil level is too low add the required amount of engine oil to
theoilllermark.
• Replace the dipstick securely.
CAUTION:
Runningwithinsufcientengineoilmaydamagetheengineseverely.
