PICKUP
ADJUSTMENT
The
height
of
the
pickup
may
be
adjusted
by
turning
the
height
adjusting
screws
on
the
pickup
or
trim
ring.
Turning
the
screws
clockwise
will
raise
the
pickup.
Turning
the
screws
counterclockwise
will
lower
the
pickup.
The
pickups
are
of
single
coil
type
design
incorporating
the
H
C
S
hum
canceling
system,
both
neck
&
bridge
pickups
are
hum-cancsliing
alone,
or
when
used
together.
H.C.S.
pickups
need
no
external
power
source
or
batteries.
CONTROLS
1.
Volume
Control:
The
volume
control
acts
as
the
master
volume
in
that
it
controls
the
total
signal
level
delivered
from
all
pickups
to
the
output
jack.
Rotating
the
control
knob
clockwise
will
increase
volume
rotating
counterclockwise
will
reduce
volume.
2.
Tone
Control:
Our
unique
tone
circuitry
(U.S.
Patent
No.
4,
164,163)
enables
single
coil
or
H.C.S™
(hum-cancelling
system)
operation
in
any
pickup
selection
through
the
rota-
tion
of
the
tone
control.
Rotating
the
tone
control
fully
clockwise
(position
10)
achieves
the
single
coil
mode
and
produces
a
greater
degree
of
highs
from
the
instrument.
Rotating
the
tone
control
counterclockwise
to
approximately
the
number
7
position
activates
the
H.C
circuit
for
noise-
free
operation.
Further
counterclockwise
rotation
of
the
tone
control
allows
for
a
greater
reduction
of
highs
while
stil
re-
taining
noise-ree
operation.
3.
Pickup
Selector
Swtich:
This
five
position
switch allows
selection
of
any
individual
pickup,
or
two
combinations
of
multiple
pickups.
The
available
selection
possibilities
are
as
follows:
First
Position
(Toward
the
neck)
Selects
output
of
the
neck
pickup
only.
