Operating a retractable screen may result in a static discharge. A static discharge in the
presence of a flammable substance such as aerosol lubricant could cause ignition. To
avoid injury and/or property damage, do not use any flammable substance on a retractable screen.

Installing the Screen:
A. From the interior position the Rolscreen Assembly at the head of the window.
B. While holding the assembly in position, install an attachment screw (be sure to use a
driver with #1 square head bit) at a slight angle up (~25° ) in the hole of the end cap on
each side of the assembly.

NOTICE: Be sure to use a #1 square head bit when installing or removing the attachment screws.

Summary

Installing the Rolscreen

Position Rolscreen Assembly

Place the Rolscreen Assembly at the window head from the interior.

Secure Assembly with Screws

Install attachment screws at an upward angle into the end cap holes.

Install Window Guides

Position Rolscreen guides against the frame, aligning with the sill stop.

Fasten Guides to Frame

Press guides to the frame and install screws starting from the bottom.

Finalize Screen Installation

Remove shipping spacers and test screen closing by snapping the bar into place.

Screen Cleaning Procedures

Prepare Screen for Cleaning

Latch the screen in the closed position before proceeding with cleaning.

Vacuum Screen Debris

Use an upholstery brush attachment to vacuum the screen surface.

Adjusting Roller Tension

Remove Head Cover

Pull the bottom of the head cover out and lift it off the screen assembly.

Tension Adjustment (Option 1)

Use a flat blade screwdriver to turn the gear on the screen cartridge.

Reattach Head Cover

Hook the head cover over the cartridge and press until it clicks into place.

Re-tensioning (Option 2)

Remove guides and assembly, then turn the spring assembly for re-tensioning.
