How to fix a Pentair Pool Products Great White Swimming Pool Vacuum when the oscillator is very slow?
- VVictoria FlemingAug 16, 2025
To address slow movement or a non-moving Pentair Pool Products Swimming Pool Vacuum oscillator, start by backwashing and/or cleaning the filter and emptying all baskets to achieve the desired oscillation rate of 400-600 times per minute. Also, clear any debris from the oscillator chamber, hose, or vac plate bypass. Repair any vacuum leaks from cracked vac plates or hoses, and ensure proper seating of the vac plate or reducer cone. Adjust valves for maximum vacuum to the cleaner hose and, if needed, consult a pool service professional if the filtration system isn't developing enough vacuum. Replace the hose if it is old, has leaks, or kinks in hot water, ensuring it's a Great White hose for proper operation.
