Algae on the walls can also prevent climbing, so brush the walls. Ensure the water temperature is between 54-90° F (12-32° C). Trapped air can make the cleaner too light, so turn it upside down underwater to release any trapped air. Also, check that the pH level is between 7.4 - 7.8, with a minimum of 7.2.
