If your Pentair Swimming Pool Vacuum is not moving or is moving too slowly, you should check the flow using the included flow gauge, or by calculating the cleaner's RPM, and adjust the flow with the regulator valve if needed. Also, inspect the cleaner for any internal debris. Ensure the pump is primed and check for system leaks that might hinder priming. Insufficient system flow could be the issue, so backwash the filter if necessary. Make sure the main drain and all suction lines are closed, except for the one connected to the cleaner. Look for any obstructions in the system, such as debris in the filter, pump basket, or pump impeller. If the problem persists, the pool pump and filter system might be too small, so consult a pool professional.
