Depth
of
field
is
the
area
of
acceptable
sharpness
in
front
of
and
behind
the
point
of
focus.
The
depth
of
field
becomes
progressively
greater
as
the
lens
opening
becomes
smaller.
The
distance
at
which
the
lens
is
focused
also
affects
the
depth
of
field:
it
increases
as
you
get
further
away.
The
focal
length
of
the
lens
is
another
factor
to
determine
the
depth
of
field.
The
shorter
the
lens,
the
greater
the
depth
of
field.
