Pentax Zoom 280-P - Installing;Replacing the Batteries

Use two 3V lithium batteries (CR-123A or
INSTALLING/REPLACING BATTERIES dl-i23A)
Ensure that the power is off before replacing
the batteries.
* If the batteries are correctly loaded, the
zoom lens moves slightly and the motor
operates for a few seconds.
1 Open the battery chamber cover by rotat¬
ing the cover lock to the left with the strap
clamp's protrusion.
2 Insert two lithium batteries with the plus/
minus sides matching the indications in
the battery compartment.
3 Make sure that the groove of the battery
chamber lock is aligned with the (^) mark.
While pressing the cover, rotate the cover
lock to the left to secure it in place.
Caution:
Replace all batteries at the same time. Do not
mix battery brands, types or old batteries
with new ones as it may cause explosion or
overheating.
