Authentication
Method
With this external authentication is selected, the web admin will authenticate using the
corresponding external server. Authenticated users are treated as either “admin” with full read-
write permission or “user” with read-only access. Local admin and user accounts will be disabled.
However, when the device is not able to communicate with the external server, local accounts are
enabled to allow emergency access. By default, it is set to Local Account.

This specifies the authentication protocol used. Available options are
MS-CHAP v2

Authentication Host
This specifies the IP address or hostname of the RADIUS server host.
Authentication Port
This setting specifies the UDP destination port for authentication
requests.

Secret
This field is for entering the secret key for accessing the RADIUS
server.
Accounting Host
This specifies the IP address or hostname of the RADIUS server host.
Accounting Port
This setting specifies the UDP destination port for accounting
requests.
Accounting Secret
This field is for entering the secret key for accessing the accounting
server.
