Why does my Perrot VP3 VAC valve only work manually and not with an electric signal?

  If the Perrot Irrigation System valve only opens or closes with manual opening and not with an electric signal, check the following: Ensure the manual opening screw is not set to OFF; turn the screw to the left as far as it will go, to Auto. Examine the core; if it's jammed in the coil, remove the coil and clean the core. Verify that there is a 24V AC power supply. Check the coil resistance (it should be approximately 35 ohms) and replace it if necessary. Also, ensure the relief channel for the coil is clean.

  If your Perrot Irrigation System sprinkler is not rotating or is rotating very slowly, it could be due to dirty water, a speed regulator set to minimum, or a blockage. Try fully opening the regulating screw to flush out any dirt. Clean the filter. If the piston drive is defective, it must be replaced.

  If the Perrot Irrigation System valve fails to close, the coil seat may be dirty; clean the coil seat. There may be dirt between the valve seat and sealing plate; clean the valve seat and sealing plate. The membrane may be defective; remove the valve and replace the membrane. The control water filter may be dirty; clean the control water filter.

  If your Perrot Irrigation System sprinkler has a poor jet, the nozzle or funnel may be blocked. Unscrew the nozzle, remove, and clean it. When fitting the nozzle, ensure it is in the correct 12 o'clock position and grease the nozzle thread.

  If the sector angle of your Perrot Irrigation System gets bigger during operation, the spring stop may be loose, the spring force may have slackened, or the spring stop may have been overextended. In any of these cases, fit a new spring stop.
