Also, double-check that the machine is threaded correctly. The needle size should match the thread being used. Poor quality, slubbed, or dry thread can cause issues, so switch to a new, high-quality thread. Verify that the spool cap is the correct size and that the spool pin is in the best position (vertical or horizontal). Finally, a damaged needle plate hole can also cause thread breakage, so consider changing the needle plate.

A bent or blunt needle can also cause skipped stitches, so replace it with a new one. Ensure that the machine is threaded correctly and that you are using the correct presser foot for the task. The needle should also be appropriately sized for the thread you're using. If you're free-motion sewing or embroidering and the fabric is moving with the needle, attach Dynamic spring foot 6D or reduce the presser foot height if using foot 6A.

  The sockets and function buttons on the machine can be sensitive to static electricity. If the screen does not respond to touch, turn the machine OFF and then ON again. Do not touch the function buttons while turning on the machine. Deactivate start/stop button safety in the Settings menu. If the problem persists, contact your authorized PFAFF® dealer.
