7.4 Front-End Analogue and reception
7.4.1 Front-End Analogue
The Front-End for the analogue tuner consist of the following
key components:
• F86WT-2-E
• MT5301BCMU

7.5 HDMI
In this platform, the TMDS361B HDMI multiplexer is
implemented. It supports up to 3 HDMI ports to be switched to
a single SOC. In this chassis 3HDMI ports are implemented.

The TMDS361B has the following specifications:

7.6 Video and Audio Processing - MT5301B
The MT5301B is the main audio and video processor (or
System-on-Chip) for this platform. It has the following features:
• Worldwide multi-standard analog TV demodulator
• A transport demultiplexer
• A multi-standard video decoder
• An AC3/MPEG2 Audio decoder
• HDMI 1.3 receiver (Cover HDMI 1.4 partial specification)
• Audio codec
•TCON
• Panel overdrive control
• Local dimming.
The MediaTek MT5301B family is a back-end decoder and a
TV controller and offers high integration for advanced
applications.It combines a transport de-multiplexer, a high
definition video decoder, an AC3 audio decoder, a dual-link
LVDS/mini-LVDS transmitter, and an NTSC/PAL/SECAM TV
decoder with a 3D comb filter (NTSC/PAL). The MT5301B
enables consumer electronics manufactures to build high
quality, low cost and feature-rich DTV. Supports FULL-HD
MPEG1/2/4/DivX/VC1/RM/H.264/AVS video decoder
standards, and JPEG. The MT5301B also supports MediaTek
MDDi™ de-interlace solution can reach very smooth picture
quality for motions. A 3D comb filter added to the TV decoder
recovers great details for still pictures. The special color
processing technology provides natural, deep color and true
studio quality video.
