There are several accessories available for your BiPAP A40 device. Contact your home care service
provider for additional information. When using the accessories, always follow the instructions
included with them.
7.1 Adding a Humidier with or without Heated Tubing
You can use the heated humidier and the heated tube with your device. They are available from
your home care provider. A humidier and heated tube may reduce nasal dryness and irritation by
adding moisture to the airow.
Note: Refer to the humidier’s instructions for complete setup information.
When the device is in Standby, if the integrated humidier or the heated tube is connected, and the
humidier parameter setting is greater than 0, the Left key is labeled Preheat. Selecting this key
initiates the humidier preheat function and changes the humidier icon to the “heating active”
icon. Selecting this key again while the preheat function is active ends the pre-heat function. After
the heater plate reaches the desired temperature, the Preheat feature automatically shuts o.
7.2 SD Card
The system comes with an SD card inserted in the SD card slot on the back of the device to record
information for the home care service provider. Your provider may ask you to periodically remove
the SD card and send it to them for evaluation.
To remove the SD card:
1. Select the “Safely Remove SD Card” option from the main menu.
2. After the “Remove SD Card” conrmation message appears, remove the card.
