To enable global Audio Off mode (for all measurements)
1 Touch the Limits button in the toolbar
The Alarm Settings menu opens, displaying the General tab.
2 Touch the Turn Alarm Audio Off button.
Note
If your system administrator has not enabled the Turn Alarm Audio Off button, the
button is not present on the General tab of the Alarm Settings menu.
3 Touch Done.
In Audio Off mode, the following occurs:
• All alarm audio is indefinitely turned off, including audio for alarms that occur within
the Audio Off time period.
• The audio control displays the red Audio Off icon.
• To the left of the icon, the message Audio OFF is displayed in red.
• The Turn Alarm Audio Off button changes to a Turn Alarm Audio On button.
• A gray Audio Off icon is displayed in all active numeric panes.
• The nurse call signal is disabled.
• Visual alarm indicators continue as usual.
• If configured by your system administrator, a sharp short beep occurs every 3
minutes as a reminder that audio is off.
You can touch the audio control at any time to cancel Audio Off mode.
Alarms Off Mode
If your system administrator has enabled it, an Alarms Off monitoring mode is available
on the Mode menu at the upper left of the main screen. By default, this menu selection is
named No Alarm. However, your system administrator can configure any name for this
selection.
In Alarms Off mode, the following occurs:
• Visual and auditory alarm indicators are turned off for all physiological alarms.
Technical alarms still generate visual and auditory alerts.
• The No Alarms icon is displayed in each numeric pane.
• Alarm limits are not displayed in the numeric panes.
• In measurement menus, you cannot change alarm limits or enable and disable alarm
audio.
• The Audio Pause button is not available on the main screen.
• The Limits button is not available on the main screen toolbar, so you cannot access
the Alarm Settings menu.
