Setting Up the Monitor
Note
If the monitor is connected to AC power and is in Standby mode, the monitor does not
automatically enter Deep Sleep mode.
To manually enter Deep Sleep mode using the On/Standby button
1 Do either of the following:
- Briefly press the On/Standby button. In the message window that opens, touch
Shut Down.
- Press the On/Standby button for 4 seconds. In the message window that opens,
touch OK.
The monitor enters Deep Sleep mode.
To manually enter Deep Sleep mode using the System menu
1 Touch the Settings button on the main screen toolbar
The System menu opens.
2 In the System menu, touch the Shut Down button.
A message appears, informing you that the system will shut down.
3 Touch OK in the message window.
The monitor enters Deep Sleep mode.
To wake the monitor from Deep Sleep mode, connect the monitor to an AC source or
press the On/Standby button.
Securing the Monitor when Not in Use
When the monitor is not being used, ensure that it is securely stored so it does not fall.
If using the roll stand, put the monitor in a location where it will not be in the way and
secure all of the wheel locks.
Before storing, place the monitor in Standby or Deep Sleep mode. Connect the monitor
to AC power if possible.
If the monitor is to be stored for a long period of time, consult your Philips service
representative for important recommendations.
