Changing the System Date and Time
2-14 EarlyVue VS30 Instructions for Use
Changing the System Date and Time
Be sure to set the correct system date and time the first time you turn on the monitor.
Note
If your system administrator has disabled the Date/Time menu, you cannot change the
system date and time.
The following conditions apply to the system date and time:
If the monitor is networked and your system administrator has enabled time
synchronization, the monitor date and time are automatically synchronized with the
hospital EMR server or the HL7 interface server or an SNTP time server.
The date and time cannot be changed if any of the following is in progress:
- A printing task
- A temperature measurement
- An NBP measurement (including an NBP STAT measurement)
The system clock does not adjust for daylight saving time if it is not synchronized with
the SNTP server. If time synchronization is not enabled, you must manually change
the time on the monitor.
The date and time are displayed in the center of the toolbar on the main screen.
To change the system date and time
1 Touch the date/time on the toolbar on the main screen.
The Date/Time menu opens, if not disabled by your system administrator.
2 Touch the field for the date or time value you want to change.
A numeric keypad opens. Minimum and maximum values for the selected field are
shown in small type above the number keys.
3 Use the keypad to enter the value, the touch OK.
4 Repeat steps 2 and 3 to change other values as needed.
5 Touch Apply to save your changes and close the menu.
You can change the date format (mm/dd/yyyy, dd/mm/yyyy, or yyyy/mm/dd) on the
General tab of the System menu. For details, see “Changing System Settings” on
page 2-23.
