Main Screen
User ID
If your monitor is configured to require operator or validator login, the current user’s ID
appears here. Otherwise, this part of the information bar is empty.
If your user ID appears here, you can touch your ID to open a menu to log off.
Message Panes
The information bar has two message panes, one for physiological alarms and one for
technical alarms. Each message pane displays text that describes the current alarm, as
well as a background color to indicate the alarm priority. See “Alarm Message Panes” on
page 4-3 for details.
Alarm Status Pane
To the left of the Audio Pause and Acknowledge Alarm buttons, the alarm status pane
displays alarm or alarm audio status. Where there is no active alarm and audio is not
paused or off, the alarm status pane is empty. During an active alarm, or when audio is
paused or off, it displays relevant icons and other elements. See “Audio Pause Mode” on
page 4-15 and “The Acknowledge Alarm Button” on page 4-13 for details.
Audio Control
The audio control on the information bar indicates the current status of alarm audio and
enables you to pause and resume audio. See “Audio Pause Mode” on page 4-15 and
“Global Audio Off Mode” on page 4-15 for details.
Acknowledge Alarm Button
The Acknowledge Alarm button on the information bar indicates the current alarm
status. Touching the flashing Acknowledge Alarm button acknowledges and silences
active alarms. For details, see “Flashing Acknowledge Alarm Button” on page 4-3 and
“The Acknowledge Alarm Button” on page 4-13.
Patient Bar
The patient bar displays the primary patient ID and patient type and provides access to
additional patient information. The appearance and behavior of the patient bar differs
depending on whether a patient has been admitted.
For more information, see “Patient Bar” on page 3-2.
