Managing Patient Information
Edit Patient Menu
The Edit Patient Menu enables you to edit ID information for:
• The patient currently being monitored, if that patient has been assigned a primary ID.
• A patient record that was saved with an Unknown ID. Records with Unknown ID are
considered pending records.
See “Editing Patient Information” on page 3-35.
Records Menu
When you touch the Records button on the main screen toolbar, the Records menu
opens. The Records menu includes two tabs: Patient Records and Pending Records. All
saved patient records are listed on one or the other of these tabs. From these tabs, you
can:
• View a list of all saved patient records or all pending records. See “Viewing Records”
on page 3-34.
• View all saved records for one patient. See “Viewing Records” on page 3-34.
• Print one or more records. See Chapter 13, “Printing.
• Validate and send patient records to an EMR system. See “Validating Patient Records
before Export” on page 3-38.
• Edit or delete a record.
• Delete one or more records for a patient.
• Access trend view.
Depending on how your monitor is configured, the top-level list on each tab displays
patient information in columns that may include:
• Location ID
• Transaction ID
• Primary ID — The ID configured by your system administrator as the primary patient
ID.
• Patient Name
• Patient Type — Adult, Pediatric, or Neonatal.
The Patient Records tab includes a Last Measured column that lists the date and time
the last measurement was taken for each patient.
The Pending Records tab includes a Date/Time column showing the date and time the
record was saved.
You can touch a column heading to sort by that column. The selected column heading
turns blue. To reverse the sort order for that column, touch it again.
To close the Records menu, touch the Close button at upper right.
Note
The Records menu automatically closes after 90 seconds of inactivity.
