3-16 EarlyVue VS30 Instructions for Use
Caution
If the monitor is left unattended during the configured timeout period, any operator can access
patient data using the current operator’s ID. It is recommended that you log off before leaving the
monitor unattended. To log off, touch your operator ID in the information bar and touch Log Off in
the menu that opens.
Patient Record Colors
The color to the left of each record in trend view or the Pending Records tab indicates
the record’s status, as described in the following table.
Color Description
White The record has been saved on the monitor. If the monitor is networked, a
white record is ready to export to the EMR server. The monitor checks
every 30 seconds for new records to export.
The following records are exported immediately:
Record saved when a clinician touches the Save or Save Now button.
Record of currently admitted patient that is saved automatically when
a clinician uses a barcode scanner to admit a new patient in Spot
Check mode.
See “Attended and Unattended Patient Records” on page 3-27 for more
information.
Green The record has been exported successfully. A green record can no longer
be edited.
Your system administrator can configure the monitor so that green
records remain visible for a configured period of time after they are
successfully exported to the EMR. After the configured interval, the green
records are either hidden or deleted, depending on the configuration. You
can view records from the EMR system.
Purple Purple indicates that some form of validation is required before the
record can be exported to the EMR server. Required validation may
include patient identification, user authentication, or record validation.
See “Patient Identification” on page 3-15, “User Authentication” on
page 3-15, and “Validating Patient Records before Export” on page 3-38
for details.
All records requiring validation appear in the Pending Records tab of the
Records menu.
