Creating a Patient Record
3-22 EarlyVue VS30 Instructions for Use
Note
Your system administrator can enable or disable any monitoring mode except Spot
Check. The Mode menu displays only the modes that are enabled. Spot Check is always
available.
Use Interval monitoring mode to continuously monitor a single patient while
automatically taking and saving NBP measurements at specified intervals. You can
configure either of the following automatic NBP measurements:
• NBP Auto Interval enables you to choose from a list of intervals ranging from 1
minute to 120 minutes. A new automatic NBP is completed and saved to the patient
record each time the interval has elapsed. Measurements continue until you explicitly
stop them.
• NBP Interval Program enables you to specify up to five sequential periods of
automatic NBP measurements. For each period, you select a duration and an interval.
A new automatic NBP is completed and saved to the patient record each time the
interval has elapsed. Measurements continue for the defined duration. If more than
one period is defined, measurement continue at the defined interval for each period,
continuing until the duration of the final period has elapsed.
All other available measurements—such as SpO
2
, CO
2
, pulse, and respiration—are saved
to the record at the same interval as the NBP.
See “Taking Automatic NBP Measurements Using NBP Intervals” on page 6-13 for more
information, including information about:
• Preconfigured NBP auto intervals and NBP interval programs.
• Alignment of intervals to the monitor’s clock.
Note
If either of the following conditions is true when the monitor attempts to save a record at
the specified NBP interval, the record is not saved:
• The Observations and Assessments menu is open.
• A QuickAlerts advisory window is open.
