Including Observations and Assessments in a Patient Record
3-30 EarlyVue VS30 Instructions for Use
To enter a pain index value (when default QuickCapture configuration is enabled)
1 Touch the Pain Index pane on the main screen.
The Observations and Assessments menu opens.
2 Do one of the following:
- Touch a number from 0 to 10 to select a pain index value.
- Touch a face icon to select an even-numbered pain index value (0, 2, 4, 6, 8, or
10).
3 If you want to enter free text:
a Touch the Free Text button.
The on-screen keyboard opens.
Note
If the Free Text window already contains text when you touch the Free Text button,
the Free Text window opens, You must then touch the Free Text window to open the
on-screen keyboard.
b Use the on-screen keyboard to enter up to 100 characters, then touch OK.
The Free Text window displays the text you typed.
c Touch OK in the Free Text window.
4 Touch Done.
The Observations and Assessments menu closes, and the value you selected is
displayed in the Pain Index pane on the main screen.
To enter observations and assessments (when a custom QuickCapture configuration is
enabled)
1 Touch the Observations and Assessments pane on the main screen.
The Observations and Assessments menu opens, displaying one or more tabs. On
each tab, required fields are indicated by an asterisk.
2 Within each tab, complete the required fields and populate other available fields as
appropriate.
Note
Open each tab in the menu to ensure you have completed all required and relevant
fields.
