Rewind/Fast Forward
At the stop mode
1 You can rewind or fast forward the tape by pressing
à or á respectively.
™ “TAPE 1 XXX” or “TAPE 2 XXX” will be
displayed, depending on which tape deck is
selected.
™ The tape will stop automatically at the end of
rewinding or fast forwarding.
2 Press STOP Ç to stop rewind or fast forward.
During playback
• Press and hold à or á respectively until the
desired passage is located.
™ During searching, the sound is reduced to a low
volume.
™ When you releaseà or á, the tape continues
playing.
Notes:
– During rewinding or fast forwarding of a tape; it is
possible to select another source (e.g. CD, TUNER or
AUX•DVD). “
XXX
” denotes the counter number.
– Check and tighten slack tape before use with a
pencil. Slack tape may get jammed or may burst in
the mechanism.
– C-120 tape is extremely thin and is easily deformed
or damaged. It is not recommended for use in this
system.
– Store the tapes at room temperature and do not put
them too close to a magnetic field (for example,
transformer, TV or loudspeaker boxes).
Dolby B Noise Reduction System
1 Press DOLBY B NR to switch on Dolby B NR.
™ The d B NR appears in the display.
2 Press DOLBY B NR again to switch off Dolby B NR.
™ The d B NR disappears from the display.
Note:
– A tape recorded with the Dolby B NR system should
also be played in the Dolby B NR mode. If you forget
to operate the DOLBY NR button, the treble may be
reproduced too strongly.
