INFRARED SENSOR (VOLUMETRIC)
CHARACTERISTICS
The wireless PIR volumetric sensor uses digital infrared technology. Its software enables it to distinguish interference signals from human
movement signals to eectively prevent false alarms.
Integrated high-frequency helical antenna, large coverage area, easy to install.
INTERNAL LED CODING
One blink: sensor in alarm.
Steady ON : low supply voltage, replace batteries.
INSTALLATION
PIR sensors should be installed away from areas where the temperature changes rapidly or where draughts are present, such as: air
conditioners, lamps, heaters, etc. Also, preferably, they should not be pointed directly at windows.
Do not install several sensors in close proximity to each other to avoid interference.
Position the bracket as high as possible o the oor and preferably in the corners using the screws supplied. Attach the sensor to the bracket
and adjust the angle.
DETECTION AREA
VIEW FROM ABOVE SIDE VIEW
110°
0m 2m 4m 6m 8m
N.B.: The PIR sensor is more sensitive to lateral movement (crossing) than longitudinal movement (approaching). For optimal operation,
point the sensor perpendicular to the direction of people's passage.
REPLACING BATTERIES
1) Set the switch on the back of the sensor to OFF.
2) Remove the battery cover at the front of the sensor.
3) Replace the batteries, taking care to observe polarity.
4) Close the battery cover.
5) Turn the switch on the back of the sensor back to ON.
TEST
1) When installation is complete, turn the switch on the back of the sensor to the ON position, move within the detection area and check
that the LED illuminates correctly. (The internal LED ashes when motion is detected).
2) If necessary, change the angle of the sensor to optimise its operation.
