50-670A CARD ARCHITECTURE
The 50-670A card is an array of up to 101 reed relays factory congured into one of eleven different multiplexer
congurations. In the default state, all multiplexer channels are open circuit. Energising a particular channel creates
a signal path between the common terminal and the corresponding channel terminal. For multiple pole versions, all
poles within a channel are enabled simultaneously. See Section 5 for switching diagrams for all the versions of the
multiplexer as well as the corresponding pinout diagrams.
The relationship between the programming sub-unit’s bits and the channels of each multiplexer version is shown in
the following tables. For versions with isolation switches in the common connection, these are operated automatically
when a channel is activated.
