1. Use the
VOLUME
button on the hand-held remote to
increase the volume. Make sure that the volume bar that
appears on the monitor is at least half-filled.
2. Ask the people at the far-end site if they have muted the
call. If they have, ask them to unmute it.
3. If you detached an optional microphone, such as the
PowerMic, during the call, you must reattach that
microphone to receive audio.
4. Make sure that all cable connections to the system and
the monitor are correct and secure. (Appendix A shows
how the cables connect to the back of the system.)
5. Make sure that the volume on the monitor is on and at the
appropriate level. Start with the monitor’s volume set at
its middle position.
6. Hang up the call.
7. Call another site to see if you can hear them and they can
hear you.

8. From the System Exercises menu, choose
Generate
Audio Test Tone
to check that the volume is set correctly.
9. Run the
Local Channel Loopback
test from the Loopback
Tests menu, and then speak into the microphone to see
if you hear yourself back.
