  • DO NOT insert foreign objects into ventilation openings.
  • To prevent overload, ensure no other appliance is plugged into the same circuit.
  • DO NOT recommend using an extension cord. If necessary, use a 14 AWG minimum size cord rated not less than 1875 watts.
  • Never insert fingers, pencils, or other objects through the cage during operation.
  • Set the fan on a stable, level surface to prevent it from being knocked over.
  • DO NOT expose the fan to excessive heat or humidity.
  • Keep the fan out of reach of children.

Blue connects to the terminal marked [N] or black, and Brown connects to [L] or red. Ensure the cord grip is fastened correctly. The plug must be fitted with an ASTA approved fuse (conforming to BS 1362) of the same rating. For non-rewireable plugs, use an ASTA approved fuse if replacement is needed. Usage Features:

  • Assembly: The fan requires assembly of the back guard, fan blades, and front guard.
    • Back Guard Installation: Remove the nut from the motor housing, align the three pins on the motor housing with the corresponding notches on the back guard (handle at the top), and tighten the nut clockwise. Ensure the back guard is secure.
    • Fan Blades Installation: Slot the fan blades into the shaft and push them into place. Ensure blades rotate freely without grazing the guard mesh.
    • Front Guard Installation: Connect the front guard to the back guard, aligning edges and ensuring the fixing bracket is at the top. Push down locking clips around the rim and fix the screw and locking nut through the hole at the bottom of the grilles.
  • Turning On/Off: Press any of the two speed buttons (1 or 2) on the control panel to turn the unit on. Press the '0' button to turn the unit off.
  • Speed Selection: Choose between Low (1) and High (2) speed settings by pressing the corresponding button. Only press one speed button at a time to avoid damage.
  • Oscillation Function: Push the oscillation knob (at the back of the motor housing) down to activate oscillation, causing the fan to pivot side-to-side. Pull the knob up to stop oscillation and lock the fan at its current angle. To change the horizontal angle, reactivate oscillation, wait for the desired angle, then pull the knob up.
  • Adjusting Air Flow (Vertical Tilt): Firmly grip the top half of the motor housing and gently push it upwards or downwards to adjust the vertical tilt angle. The fan will remain at the selected angle until manually adjusted again. The fan's horizontal angle cannot be manually adjusted; use the oscillation function for this.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning and Care:
    • Always switch off and unplug the appliance before cleaning.
    • Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth.
    • Never use an abrasive cleaner.
    • Store the fan in its original box in a cool, clean, and dry location when not in use.
  • Cleaning Fan Blades:
    • Remove the front guard by unclipping the locking clips (except the top one) and unscrewing the nut and bolt at the bottom.
    • Pull the front guard downwards and away.
    • Clean the fan blades with a soft, damp cloth.
    • Slide the front guard back into place, clip all locks, and screw the nut and bolt back in.
    • DO NOT use the fan when the front guard is not locked into place.

Visit www.recycle-more.co.uk or www.recyclenow.co.uk (for UK) or www.weeeireland.ie (for Ireland) for recycling information. The WEEE directive requires all electrical items to be recycled, not landfilled. Take the appliance to your local Civic Amenity site for recycling at the end of its life.
