• Water can be accessed by placing container under the water heating bucket tap and
pressing/lifting the tap knob. Be careful hot water is dangerous.
Boil dry protection
As a protection against overheating, this water heating bucket is fitted with an automatic
safety device that will automatically shut the unit OFF if there is insufficient water in the unit.
Should this happen, unplug the unit and allow it to cool before refilling it with cold water.

• Always disconnect the water heating bucket from power outlet before filling with
water.
• Before switching the water heating bucket ON, make sure that the element is
covered with water.
• Check that the switch is OFF before disconnecting the water heating bucket from the
wall socket.
• Do not open lid while the water heating bucket is in operation. Switch OFF the wall
switch first.
• To avoid steam burns, face the lid steam hole away from you, ensuring that the
steam does not come in contact with the plug and power outlet.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Always unplug the unit before attempting to clean it. Wipe the exterior of the water heating
bucket with a clean, soft and slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaning materials.
NEVER IMMERSE the water heating bucket in water or any other liquid.
CLEANING THE INSIDE
Depending on the nature of the water supply, the inside of the water heating bucket may
need to be descaled and cleaned regularly using kettle cleaner/descalers that are available
from supermarkets, chemists and other stores. After descaling the water heating bucket
should be boiled with fresh water several times before use.
