Usage Features
The speaker systems are designed for home audio use, typically placed on shelves or stands.
- Power Indicator: An LED indicator illuminates to show the operational status of the speaker. The illumination voltage varies depending on the LED number, ranging from 1V to 18V.
- Tone Selector: A switch allows users to adjust the tonal characteristics of the speaker output, offering options like "NORMAL" and "SOFT" (for CS-907/E, G and CS-607/E, G, US) or a single impedance (for CS-707/E, G, US).
- Connectivity: The speakers connect to an amplifier via speaker cords. The network assembly manages the signal distribution to the different speaker drivers.
Maintenance Features
The service manual provides comprehensive instructions for maintenance and repair.
- Removal of Grille: To access the speaker components, the grille must be removed. This involves removing the two screws at the bottom of the grille, pulling it out, and then removing the two screws at the top.
- Removal of Woofer: The woofer can be removed by undoing the 8 screws (Phillips screwdriver needed) and 8 bolts (socket wrench needed) that secure it.
- Network Assembly Access: The network assembly can be taken out after removing the woofer.
- Indicator Assembly Access: To remove the indicator assembly, a small screwdriver or punch-like instrument is used to remove the panel. Then, the 3 screws and take off the indicator assembly. After repairing it, attach it to a new panel.
- Exploded Views and Parts Lists: Detailed exploded views for each model (CS-907/E,G, CS-707/E,US, CS-607/E,G,US) are provided, showing all components and their part numbers. This is crucial for identifying and ordering replacement parts.
- Circuit Diagrams: Circuit diagrams for the Network Assembly and Power Indicator Assembly are included, aiding in troubleshooting and repair of electrical components.
- Parts Stock Control: The manual notes that parts marked with "●" are not always kept in stock, and parts marked with "◎" are not always kept in stock. Their delivery time may be longer than usual or they may be unavailable. Parts marked with "★" are critical for safety, and identical designation parts should be used for replacement. Parts marked with "★★" are fast-moving items.
- Part Classification: Some parts are classified by distributor based on model number, temperature, humidity, etc.
The manual emphasizes that specifications and design are subject to possible modification without notice, due to improvements.
