What to do if my Pioneer Car Receiver has sound distortion?
- JJames BakerAug 1, 2025
If you're experiencing sound distortion with your Pioneer Car Receiver, especially on the FM band, make sure the T-type FM antenna is fully extended and oriented for the best reception. Weak signals can also cause distortion; try repositioning the antenna, especially if it's an outdoor antenna near a street. Ensure that RF ATT is set to off. For AM, adjust the AM loop antenna's position, ensuring it's not touching the unit. Electrical interference from appliances can also cause distortion, so try turning off nearby fluorescent lights or motors, or moving them away.
