Make
sure
that
all
of
the
components
are
turned
off
before
making
connections,
CONNECTING
THE
OUTPUT
CABLE:
Connect
the
LINE
OUT
jacks
of
this
unit
to
the
input
jacks
(CD
or
AUX)
of
the
amplifier.
Make
sure
that
the
white
phugs
are
connected
to
the
left
(L)
jacks
and
the
red
plugs
to
the
right
(R)
jacks
@
Be
sure
not
to
connect
this
unit
to
the
amplitier’s
PHONO
jacks,
as
sound
will
be
distorted
and
normal
playback
will
not
be
passible.
CD-Deck
synchro
function
If
you
have
a
Pioneer
cassette
deck
provided
with
the
CD-Deck
synchro
function,
connect
the
CD*DECK
SYNCHRO
jacks
of
the
CD
player
and
cassette
deck.
With
this
function,
synchro
recording
can
be
carried
out
between
player
and
deck.

supplied
with
the
cassette
deck

The
CD-DECK
SYNCHRO
cord
is
not
supplied
with
the
CD
player.
MOTE:
In
order
to
enable
the
CD-DECK
SYNCHRO
recording
function,
the
normal
output
cable
must
be
connected
to
the
stereo
amplifier.
System
remote
control
with
a
Pioneer
stereo
amplifier
that
has
the
(jj
mark
(Available
with
the
PD-102
(except
for
Singapore
and
multi-voltage
madels)
and
U.S,
and
Canadian
models
of
the
PD-202
only:
Not
available
with
models
for
military
zones
(multi-voltage
types))
When
a
Pioneer
stereo
amplifier
bearing
the
mark
is
used,
connect
the
CONTROL
IN
jack
on
the
rear
panel
of
the
CD
player
to
the
CONTROL
OUT
jack
of
the
amplifier.
This
will
enable
the
CD
player
to
be
controlled
using
the
remote
control
unit
supplied
with
the
stereo
amplifier.
if
you
do
not
plan
to
use
this
feature,
itis
not
necessary
to
connect
CONTROL
IN/OUT
jacks.

The
control
cord
is
supplied
with
the
CD
player.

The
remote
control
unit
supplied
with
the
amplifier
can
be
used
to
control
Play,
Stop,
Pause
and
Track
Search.

connect
only
one
end

the
cable.

connecting
the
power
cord
and
output
cord.

THE
POWER
CORD:
Connect
the
power
cord
to
a
household
AC
wall
outlet
er
an
AC
outletonyour
amplifier.

Make
sure
plugs
are
inserted
fully
into
the
jacks
and
wall
outlet.
TIMER
PLAYBACK
By
using
a
commercially
available
audio
timer,
itis
possible
to
initiate
playback
at
any
time
automatically.
1.
Turn
on
the
power
to
the
player,
load
a
disc
into
the
disc
tray
and
close
the
disc
tray
with
OPEN/CLOSE.
.
2.
Set
the
time
at
which
you
wish
playback
to
begin.
The
timer
will
supply
power
to
both
the
amplifier
and
the
player
at
the
preset
time,
turning
all
the
components
on
and
initiating
the’
playback
mode.
Playback
starts
from
the
first
track.
NOTES:

no
disc
has
been
loaded
in
the
player,
the
player
will
enter
the
standby
mode
when
the
audio
timer
turns
the
player's
power
on.

Pressing
any
function
buttons
before
commencement
of
timer
start
cancels
the
timer
start
function.
