Automatically recording CDs
Auto Synchro Editing System (ASES for short)
makes recording one or more CDs automatic. It
also makes sure that a CD track isn’t spread over
two sides of a tape. If the tape runs out midway
through a CD track, the same track is automati-
cally recorded from the beginning again on the
other side.
1 Prepare tape deck II for recording.
Load a blank cassette and wind on past the leader.
Recording starts in the 3 direction, so take care
over which way you load the tape.
2 Load the CD(s) you want to record.
3 Press the DISC-1/2/3 button of the
first CD you want to record, then
press 7.
The CD should now be selected, but not playing.
If you want to record the tracks in a different order,
use the program play feature—see page 26 for
how to do this.
4 Press ASES/COPY to start recording.
After the first CD has finished, recording of the next
CD loaded starts. Recording finishes automatically
when either all the discs have been recorded, or the
tape ends (whichever comes first).
5 If you want to stop recording before
the end of the CD, press 7.
Note: ASES may not work correctly if the first side
of the tape finishes at the same time as a CD track
ends. If this happens, stop the recording then
resume on the other side without ASES.

Le Système d’Edition Synchro Automatique (ASES,
abrégé) permet un enregistrement automatique
d’un ou de plusieurs CD. Il garantit aussi que la
piste d’un CD n’est pas enregistrée sur une face de
la cassette pour se terminer sur l’autre. Si la fin de
la cassette est atteinte à mi-chemin, la même piste
sera enregistrée depuis le début sur l’autre face.
1 Préparez la platine cassette II pour
l’enregistrement.
Chargez une cassette vierge et faites passer l’entête.
L’enregistrement démarre dans la direction 3,
vérifiez donc dans quel sens vous chargez la
cassette.
2 Chargez le(s) CD que vous voulez
enregistrer.
3 Appuyez sur la touche DISC-1/2/3 du
premier CD que vous voulez
enregistrer, puis appuyez sur 7.
Le CD doit être à présent sélectionné, mais il doit
être à l’arrêt.
Si vous voulez enregistrer les pistes dans un ordre
différent, utilisez la fonction de programmation de
lecture—voir la page 26 pour obtenir de plus
amples informations.
4 Appuyez sur ASES/COPY pour
démarrer l’enregistrement.
Dès que le premier CD est terminé, l’enregistrement
du CD suivant commence. L’enregistrement
termine automatiquement quand tous les disques
ont été enregistrés, ou quand la cassette termine
(ce qui vient d’abord).
5 Si vous souhaitez arrêter
l’enregistrement avant la fin du CD,
appuyez sur 7.
Remarque: ASES ne fonctionnera pas
correctement si la première face de la cassette se
termine en même temps que la piste du CD. Dans
ce cas, arrêtez l’enregistrement et recommencez sur
l’autre face sans utiliser ASES.
