Mount
on
a
level
surface
and
orient
so
that
the
clearest
reception
is
produced.
@
When
mounting
the
antenna
to
a
wall,
first
test
to
find
the
optimum
position
and
orientation
for
recep-
tion,
then
use
screws
to
attach
the
base.
About
the
accessory
FM
T-type
antenna:
@
When
mounting
the
FM
T-type
antenna,
stretch
it
tautly,
without
allowing
it
to
drape
over
objects
or
become
looped
or
tangled.
@
The
simple
FM
T-type
antenna
is
provided
to
allow
easy
FM
reception;
for
higher
quality
reception,
the
use
of
a
specialized
FM
antenna
is
recommended.

Connect
the
CD
player
cable
(RX-Q160/PD-Q160F
only)

down
connector

curely
until
click
is
heard.
NOTE:
Never
connect
or
disconnect
the
system
cable
when
the
unit's
power
plug
is
connected
to
an
electrical
outlet.
Press
connector
on
both
sides
and
lift
up.

Finally,
connect
the
deck-receiver’s
power
cord
to
an
electrical
outlet.
Push
the
plug
into
the
outlet
securely.
NOTE:
When
the
power
cord
is
plugged
into
the
outlet,
the
dem-
onstration
mode
will
begin
automatically.

cancel
the
demonstration
mode,
see
the
cover
page
section
regard-
ing
the
demonstration
mode.

Precautions
regarding
speaker
placement

Avoid
installing
speakers
in
places
exposed
to
di-
rect
sunlight
or
near
heating
appliances,
since
the
speaker
cabinets
may
be
deformed
or
become
dis-
colored,
or
the
speakers
may
be
otherwise
damaged.
@
Never
install
speakers
in
unstable
locations,
since
they
may
fall
and
cause
personal
injuries
or
other
damage.
Do
not
connect
speakers
to
amplifiers
other
than
the
one
furnished
with
this
system,
since
malfunctions,
and
in
extremely
rare
cases,
smoking
or
fire
might
occur.

The
speaker
grille
net
coverings
cannot
be
removed.
@
Placing
the
speakers
near
a
television
set
may
cause
color
distortion
in
the
TV
image.
In
this
case,
increase
the
distance
between
the
speakers
and
the
televi-
sion.
