Fresh
air
for the
cabin
interior
is
picked
up
from
two
air
inlets
in
the
leading
edge
of
each
wing.
The
air
passes
through
the
wings
to
the
wing
root
area
and
is
discharged
into
the
cabin
near
the
floor
just
forward
of
the
front
seats.
In
addition,
two
fresh
air
scoops
are
located
on
the
dorsal
fin,
These
provide
air
fortwo
overhead
ventilators
in
the
rear
seat
area
and
two
front
seat
ventilators
located
between
the
windshield
posts
and
the
in-
strument
panel.
INSTRUMENT
PANEL
The
instrument
panel
in
the
Comanche
is
designed
to
ac-
commodate
the
customary
advanced
flight
instruments
on
the
left
side
in
front
of
the
pilot
and
the
engine
instruments
on
the
right
side.
Provision
for
extra
instruments
is
made
in
both
gections,
Gyro
instruments
are
shock
mounted
and
all
are
accessible
for
maintenance
by-removing
a
portion
of
the
fuse-
lage
cowl
over
the
instruments.
The
Artificial
Horizonand
the
Directional
Gyroin
the
flight
group
are
vacuum
operated
through
use
of
a
vacuum
pump
in-
stalled
on
the
engine,
The
Turn
and
Bank
is
an
electrically
op-
erated
Instrument
and
serves
as
a
standby
for the
Gyro's
in
case
of
vacuum
system
failure,
Radio
units
are
installed
in
the
center
of
the
panel.
Ra-
dio
power
supplies
are
mounted
aft
of
the
baggage
compart-
ment.
