3.2 Use of the hob
WARNING! Never touch the hotplates while they are still hot! RISK
OF BURNS!
Put a cookware directly onto a hotplate. Turn the corresponding knob
clockwise or anticlockwise to switch on the hob.
The indicator goes on when switching on the appliance.
Set the power level of the hotplates by turning the rotary knobs clockwise or
anticlockwise.
Turn the corresponding knob to position 0 to stop cooking.
E.g.: steaming of vegetable.
E.g.: soups; larger dishes.
E.g.: frying of meat / fish.
MAX.: e.g. fast heating / cooking / frying.
After cooking turn the rotary knob on position 0 immediately to switch
off the corresponding hotplate.
Beware of the hot surfaces of the cooking zones / hotplates! The
RESIDUAL HEAT INDICATOR

indicates which cooking zones / hotplates are still
hot. The residual heat indicator disappears as soon as the relevant cooking zone
/ hotplate has cooled down. You can use the residual heat for saving energy
when starting a new cooking procedure on a cooking zone / hotplate which is
still warm / hot.
3.3 Before initial use
Clean the surface of the appliance (look at chap. CLEANING AND
MAINTENANCE).
