3.2 Use of the hob
WARNING! Never touch the hotplates while they are still hot! RISK
OF BURNS!
 Put a cookware directly onto a hotplate. Turn the corresponding knob
clockwise or anticlockwise to switch on the hob.
 The indicator goes on when switching on the appliance.
 Set the power level of the hotplates by turning the rotary knobs clockwise or
anticlockwise.
 Turn the corresponding knob to position 0 to stop cooking.

E.g.: steaming of vegetable.

E.g.: soups; larger dishes.

E.g.: slow frying.

E.g.: frying of meat / fish.

MAX.: e.g. fast heating / cooking / frying.
 After cooking turn the rotary knob on position 0 immediately to switch
off the corresponding hotplate.
Beware of the hot surfaces of the cooking zones / hotplates! The
RESIDUAL HEAT INDICATOR

indicates which cooking zones / hotplates are still
hot. The residual heat indicator disappears as soon as the relevant cooking zone
/ hotplate has cooled down. You can use the residual heat for saving energy
when starting a new cooking procedure on a cooking zone / hotplate which is
still warm / hot.
3.3 Before initial use
 Clean the surface of the appliance (look at chap. CLEANING AND
MAINTENANCE).
