42 Liquidus Tracker
Note
Parameters need to be selected to ensure that the pump speeds for Watson Marlow 520 series are
maintained below 220 rpm. Clicking Refresh will provide a prediction of the maximum pump
speed.
3.2.2.1.3 Temperature - concentration curve
The controller aims to provide the sample with the appropriate concentration at any particular
temperature. The temperature used to determine the required concentration is the Target
temperature. This is calculated in a different manner for the Dual solution and Single solution
systems; see Target temperature .
The target temperature is used to determine the target concentration as described below.
The Tn, Kn parameters define the temperature-concentration curve that the controller will aim to
follow.
The points (T1, K1) to (T10, K10) define points on the curve and linear interpolation is used to
determine the concentration between the points. The concentration of solution supplied to the
sample follows the approximated curve defined by the table as shown below.
The points Tu and TL define the upper and lower temperature limits. Outside of this limits the
concentration is clipped as shown above.
Tf is the final temperature below which the pumps are always switched off.
