Usage Features

Getting Started:

  • Initial Charging: The device requires charging before first use. Power will not turn on until the battery is charged.
  • Charging Process: Connect the USB Type-C™ Cable to the device and an AC Adaptor, then plug the adaptor into an electrical outlet. The device vibrates upon connection, and the LED flashes, expanding as charging progresses. The LED flashes twice and turns off when charging is complete. The device cannot be used or operated via the Button Area during charging.
  • Inserting a Stick: Open the Sliding Cover and insert a Ploom X tobacco stick straight into the Tobacco Stick Holder. Ensure the colored line on the tobacco stick is not covered. Do not twist the stick, use wet/damp sticks, or insert sticks with the leaf ends up, as this can cause jamming or malfunction. Only use never-before-used tobacco sticks for optimal flavor and aroma.
  • Heating: Hold down the Button Area for at least 1 second until the device vibrates to start heating. The LED indicates the heating status. Once heating is complete (approximately 25 seconds), the entire LED lights up, and the device vibrates twice, signaling it's ready for use. Heating will not start if the Sliding Cover is closed, the Front Panel is removed, or the battery level is insufficient.
  • Using the Device: After heating, the device can be used for about 5 minutes with unlimited puffs. The illuminated area on the LED indicates the remaining use time. The device vibrates and the LED flashes slowly when 20 seconds of use remain before heater shutdown. The device vibrates again when the heater shuts off. Removing the tobacco stick or closing the Sliding Cover during use will automatically shut off the heater.
  • Turning Off/Standby: Remove the tobacco stick by pulling it straight out, then close the Sliding Cover. The remaining battery level will be displayed, and the device will go into standby.
  • Taking a Break: To pause use, remove the tobacco stick and close the Sliding Cover. The device will enter standby. Only use a new tobacco stick when resuming use.
  • Checking Battery Level: Open the Sliding Cover to see the LED indicate the remaining battery level. As the battery depletes, the illuminated area shortens. If the LED flashes 3 times, the battery is low, and charging is recommended. If it flashes rapidly, the battery is depleted, and a single tobacco stick cannot be finished.

Maintenance Features

  • Cleaning: Cleaning is recommended when foreign particles or stains are noticed. Do not use detergents, solvents, or water, as this may cause malfunction.
  • Cleaning Procedure: Disconnect the USB Type-C™ Cable. Insert the dedicated Cleaning Stick into the Tobacco Stick Holder and rotate it to remove fragments of tobacco leaves. Either side of the Cleaning Stick can be used.
  • Post-Use Cooling: The device retains heat after use; allow it to cool sufficiently before cleaning.
  • Disposal of Tobacco Sticks: Used tobacco sticks are hot; place them in an ashtray immediately after use and dispose of them appropriately, out of reach of children.
  • Carrying the Device: Ensure the Sliding Cover is tightly closed to prevent accidental operation when carrying the device.
